British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is “able to do short walks” after he was moved out of intensive care at a London hospital where he has been receiving treatment for the coronavirus, a spokesman said Friday.
Johnson, 55, after having spoken to doctors about his progress, is thankful for the “incredible care” he has been receiving at St. Thomas’ Hospital, his office said. “The Prime Minister has been able to do short walks, between periods of rest, as part of the care he is receiving to aid his recovery,” a Downing Street spokesperson said in an update from the hospital.
“He has spoken to his doctors and thanks the whole clinical team for the incredible care he has received. His thoughts are with those affected by this terrible disease,” the spokesperson said. Downing Street earlier confirmed that Johnson was back on a ward at the hospital, where he continues to be in “very good spirits”. Source: financialexpress, cnn.com
